How the kiosk works in your venue: setup, rentals, returns, replenishment and the revenue share.
01
From box to first rental in minutes.
The kiosk arrives configured. It plugs into a standard UK wall socket, sits on a counter or shelf, and takes rentals straight away.
The one decision is placement: somewhere visible, near a socket, ideally in line of sight of the bar or front desk.

02
Every partnership starts with a month.
Every new partnership begins with a one month trial, time for both sides to see how rentals run at your venue. When the numbers look healthy the trial rolls straight into the standard partnership.
If it turns out the kiosk is wrong for your venue, it goes back and the partnership ends there. Keep the original packaging during the trial; returns travel in the same box, with a return label or courier collection arranged by us.
03
Contactless at the kiosk.
The whole exchange happens at the kiosk and takes seconds; staff are never part of the transaction.
Tap
A £15 deposit is authorised on the guest’s card.
Take
A ZAPT Powerbank dispenses, cables built in.
Charge
Anywhere in the venue, table to terrace.
Return
Any free slot; the deposit refunds in two minutes.
04
Any kiosk on the network, refund inside two minutes.
The guest docks the power bank in any free slot on any ZAPT kiosk, at your venue or anywhere else on the network. The deposit, less the rental fee, refunds automatically and lands in their account inside two minutes.
05
A kept power bank becomes a purchase.
Past 24 hours the rental becomes a purchase: the £15 deposit is retained, a £10 equipment fee is charged, and the guest keeps the power bank.
The unit is replaced in your kiosk through replenishment, at our cost.
06
Handled end to end.
Every kiosk reports its stock home. When a kiosk reaches half capacity, a replenishment ships for next day delivery to your venue, and the tracking number is emailed to you as it leaves the warehouse.
Powerbanks on the way
8 ZAPT Powerbanks · The Crown
How a replenishment reads in your inbox: reported at half stock, dispatched the same morning, tracked to the venue.
07
Usually sleep mode, fixed with one button.
A power bank that has sat undocked for a while can drop into sleep mode and read as broken. Pressing the button on the side of the unit wakes it; that resolves most reports on the spot.
A unit that is genuinely faulty can be docked within two minutes of dispense for a full refund at the kiosk. Past that window, ZAPT support refunds the rental fee directly; send the guest our way and we take it from there.
08
ZAPT owns the hardware and carries the risk.
ZAPT owns the kiosk and every power bank in it, and covers loss, damage and theft in full. Every rental is secured by the card-authorised deposit, so a unit only leaves the kiosk against a successful payment.
Missing or damaged units are replaced through replenishment at our cost. Your venue provides power and a spot on the bar; everything else sits with us.
Hardware, stock, loss and theft all sit with ZAPT.
