Phone charging stations for gyms and fitness studios.

A phone is the member’s music, timer and workout log in one. At low battery, sessions get cut short and members head home.

ZAPT powerbank on a bench in a gym

Where the charging kiosk sits.

  • Guests

Members rent a power bank on the way in and charge a phone in a locker or at the bench while they train.

  • Kiosk

Lives at reception, in view of every member who walks in.

  • Venue

Members finish full sessions, and the gym earns a revenue share on every rental.

The Compact-8 covers most single-site gyms and studios. Rentals here are short, around an hour and twenty minutes on average, so eight slots turn over several times across a peak evening.

When someone’s phone hits five per cent, so does their music, and they’d cut the session short. Members grab a powerbank on the way in now and finish what they came for.

Gyms & fitness studios, in detail.

Can a member take the power bank onto the gym floor?
Yes. It is a rental system rather than a charging locker, so the member keeps the powerbank with them and keeps using the phone while it charges. It goes in a pocket, a locker or on the bench, and comes back to the kiosk on the way out.
Where should the charging kiosk go in a gym?
At reception, in the line of sight of every member walking in. That is the one point every member passes twice, so it gets seen on the way in when the battery is already low and returned on the way out.
Does the gym pay for the charging kiosk or the power banks?
No. ZAPT provides the phone charging kiosk and the power banks, delivers and installs them, and replaces any unit that is lost or damaged. The gym provides a plug socket and receives a revenue share on every rental, paid quarterly with a full statement.
