HOW IT WORKS
At ZAPT, we've designed our powerbank rental service to be as seamless and hassle-free as possible for both venues and their customers. Here’s how it works:
Installation
Our team will deliver and set up the device at your venue. All we need is access to a power outlet and a space with good visibility. Once plugged in, the machine is ready to go. We take care of the installation, and there are no costs involved for your venue.
Renting is simple, users must make payment and a powerbank will pop out with no app required and all major payment methods accepted
Rental Process
Payment
ZAPT accepts all major payment methods, including physical cards and Apple Pay. To rent a power bank, customers simply tap the contactless POS on the side of the machine. A £15 deposit is charged to their card, and rental rates are £1.99 per hour, capped at £6.99 per day. Once the power bank is returned, the deposit is refunded within 2 minutes, ensuring no prolonged wait. If the power bank is not returned within 48 hours, the £15 deposit is retained, and the customer is also charged for the 2-day rental fee.
Return
Customers can return the powerbank to any available slot in the machine. If a powerbank is not returned within 48 hours the £15 deposit will be retained and we will replace the powerbank.
Revenue Sharing
With our backend software, we track all rentals at each venue. At the end of each quarter, we provide a report detailing the rental activity and send the venue their share of the revenue.
Maintenance
Our machines are built to require minimal attention. We handle all maintenance and management remotely, at no cost to your venue. Our software tracks the health of each station, powerbank, and charging slot in real-time, and we perform quarterly physical checks to ensure everything runs smoothly.
